Mistaken address?

Paul has got to stop wishing for interesting things to happen to me while he is at work. Today I had a visit from two of Barrington's police officers! As I was almost done with my shower, there was knocking (loudly) and raised voices outside the back stairwell door. Well, I stopped the shower, robed up, put up my dripping wet hair up in a turban, and answered the door. They waited until I told them they could come in the house (oh the legalities if they hadn't!). They asked who I was and asked for id. Apparently, someone had called (911?) about one of the former renters being suicidal and this is the address that the officers have for her. So, they were looking for her. I told them Dad might know where she was living now, but I am not sure. So, they left after seeing my id , and telling me to lock my doors (I was waiting for Eric to come over, so the back door was unlocked). They were polite and apologetic for interrupting my shower.

I was more surprised by this visit than anything else. It makes me feel good to know the officers are doing their job. I do hope they find who they are looking for, but I couldn't help them with the address for her because I don't know it!
