March

Yes, I know it's the end of March (last day!). Currently, we are in the middle of a thunderstorm with lightening, buckets of rain, and thunder included. Something just happened with the last crack of thunder and lightening because emergency vehicles are screaming down the street. We'll probably never know what unless it is written up in the Courrier this week.

Anyway, Brian decided that March was The Month to do practically everything.

March 4 He sat up himself (and sat up and sat up)
March 8 He crawled forward on his hands and knees (towards the active space heater)
MArch 16 Moved up to Stage 2 baby food
March 22 He pulled himself up in his crib (almost an Easter present)
March 27 He pulled himself up on the coffee table
March 28 He waved a a lady who waved at him
March 30 He got his two bottom front teeth

Supposedly Brian is 19 lbs 1 oz and 26 1/4 inches, but I think the scale at WIC was off. We weighed him at home on the 17th and he was 20 1/2 lbs and at his 6 month appointment with is doctor he was 26 3/4 inches... For clothes now he is in 12 months sizes. The Gerber sleepers, they're the fuzzy warm ones, run small, so we bumped him up to 18 month sleepers in Carters (they are too big, but it is still cold here). Tthe cotton Carters 12 month sleepers still fit him nicely. So, Carters seems to win again in baby sizing due to Brian's length.

I bought him some clothes at the outlet in Huntley. Two 5-packs of 18 months onesies, two 12 month overalls, one 18 month shortall, a 12 month sweatshirt, and 2 fuzzy, soft (clearanced) 18 month sleepers. Everything for a little over $60. We're set for awhile on clothes, I hope (I'm hoping the 18 month onesies will be for this summer). Now, if only the weather would cooperate....

We've had a few days where we were able to take Brian out in his stroller. He really liked it. We saw a few other babies out those days too. Ah well, Spring in Chicago, blink and the weather will change. We had measurable SNOW a few days ago. It probably won't be really nice here until after Memorial Day.
